This Privacy Policy explains how OneDayMVP (operated at onedaymvp.work) collects, uses, discloses, and manages your personal information when you use our platform.

OneDayMVP is an international freelance marketplace. We facilitate connections between builders and clients by providing a platform for them to find each other, communicate, and collaborate to ship MVPs in record time.

1. Information we collect

Authentication & profile data

We use Google Sign-In to sign you in. When you sign up, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We never get your password, and we never post anything to your Google account.

We also collect any additional information you choose to add to your profile — GitHub link, X (Twitter) handle, portfolio links, bio, skills, qualifications, and certificates.

Financial data

All monetary transactions on the platform itself — bounty boosts, the intent badge, connects, and builder subscriptions — are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.

We do not process, collect, or store your raw card data or bank information. We receive only tokens and webhook confirmations from Dodo Payments. Note that payments between a client and a builder for the work itself never touch our platform or Dodo Payments at all — see our Terms of Service, Section 3.

Platform activity

We collect data related to your interactions on the platform, including:

• Bounties posted and proposals submitted
• Services created and purchased
• Direct messages exchanged with other users
• Reviews and ratings given or received
• Product usage events (pages visited, features used) via our analytics provider, described below

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the product is used — which pages get visited, which features get clicked — so we can improve it. PostHog may set cookies and collect device/browser information. It does not receive your sign-in credentials, messages, or payment details.

2. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Convex's cloud infrastructure, and analytics data on PostHog's infrastructure. Both may store or process data outside your home country, including in the United States. By using OneDayMVP you consent to this cross-border transfer, which we rely on as necessary to provide the service you've requested.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

To facilitate the marketplace, some information is shown publicly to other users:

• Your public profile information (name, avatar, skills, bio, portfolio, qualifications, ratings)
• Your active bounties and services
• Your ratings and reviews

Your email and phone number are kept private by default, and only shown on your public profile if you explicitly turn on that setting yourself. We share data with the service providers who help us run the platform — Convex (database/hosting), Dodo Payments (billing), PostHog (analytics), and Google (sign-in) — solely to provide the service.

4. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, bounties, bids, messages, and related records promptly, except where we're required to retain limited transaction records (e.g. payment logs) for tax or legal compliance. Analytics events are retained on a rolling basis and are not directly tied back to your account once your data is deleted.

5. Consent

By checking the consent box during onboarding, you confirm you've read and agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account from Settings, which stops further processing of your personal data as described in Section 4.

6. Children's data

OneDayMVP is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us using the details in Section 8 and we'll remove it.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your account and personal data
• Withdraw consent to processing (see Section 5)
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in India, the Data Protection Board)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@onedaymvp.work. We aim to acknowledge requests within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
